SEAL, JOHNIE WALTER age 37 yrs. died 15 Jul 1955 at Newton D. Baker Veterans Hospital, Martinsburg, WV.

He was a World War II Veteran & having fought in two campaigns, the Rhineland & Central Europe. He was wounded 3 times & was awarded the Purple Heart on 3 occasions.

Born 04 Apr 1918 s/o Raymond H. Seal & Mollie Bell Nichols Seal of Luray. Married 10 May 1940 Edith May Taylor. Children, Dorothy Louise Seal, Donnie Walter Seal & Alice Faye Seal all at home. Sisters, Mrs. Harry (Pearl) Jenkins of Kearneysville, WV., Mrs. Emory (Erma) Gray, Mrs. Casper (Edith) Broyles, Mrs. Glenn (Elda) Taylor & Mrs. Russell (Charlotte) Taylor all of Stanley. Brother, Cecil Seal of Stanley. Burial was in the Cave Cemetery. (Page News & Courier-issue 21 Jul 1955)
