Mr. Aleshire, a native of Stanley, was born on May 4, 1884 and was the son of Charles T. and Mary E. Via Aleshire.
He was employed as a carpenter and belonged to the Bethlehem Christian Church.
Mr. Aleshire, twice married, is survived by his second wife, the former Ruth May. His first wife, Stella Berry Aleshire, preceded him in death. Besides his widow he is survived by three sons and two daughters: Everett, Willard and Melvin Aleshire, all of Stanley; Mrs. Beatrice Brown, of Orange and Rhoda Aleshire, of Luray.
Also surviving are three brothers, Hollis, of Monrova, Md., William and Sylvester, both of Baltimore, Md., and a sister, Mrs. Miza Riddle, of Ellicott City, Md.
The last rites were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 24 at the Bethlehem Christian Church, with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. O.L. Martin and The Rev. Jack Masquelier conducted the service.
