Childress – Aldine Polston McLain, 85, died Wednesday, December 30, 1992, in a Childress hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Tommy Sims officiating. Burial will be in Childress cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Mrs. McLain was born September 7, 1907, in Dallas. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Her husband, J. W. McLain died in 1973. Survivors include four daughters, Dorothy and Lois Conway, both of Childress, Betty Wilhite of Wichita Falls and Christine Henson of Paris, Texas; two sons, Jerry of Irving, Texas, and Bobby of Douglas, Georgia; a sister, Irene Hunter of Sherman, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
