Martin "Barney" Madden, 87, passed away on Nov. 9, 2009. Born on May 22, 1922 in Chicago, Illinois, he had lived in Jacksonville since 1977. Martin retired from CSX, he served during WWII in the U.S. Army, and was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Martin leaves behind his loving wife of 62 years, Delores, dear uncle of 10 nieces and nephews and many loving grand nieces and nephews. He is preceded by his brothers and sisters, John, James, Irene and Rita. Visitation will be held between 6-8pm on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009 at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be 11am Friday, Nov. 13, 2009 at St. Joseph's Historic Church, officiated by Fr. Daniel Cody. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations to the Spina Bifida Foundation.
