He was stationed at Camp Elliott, San Diego, Camp Pendleton, Oceanside, CA and Fleet Marine Forces, Pacific. He served on the Board of Awards, Pacific Fleet. Upon Japan's surrender he was appointed Assistant Special Services Officer. He was also a Justice to the War Crimes Commission sitting in Guam which dealt out penalties and acquittals to Japanese charged with atrocities in the Pacific Ocean areas.
