She graduated from Kanab High School and attended Utah State Agricultural College, where she earned a degree in secondary education. She married her sweetheart, Derrel W. Judd (also from Kanab), on June 9, 1953 in the Logan Temple.
Leila was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in leadership positions in the Primary, Relief Society, and Family History organizations.
She performed her civic duty by serving for many years as an election judge. She was active in 4-H as a leader and member and earned many awards through her 4-H work, including a trip to Chicago. She and her mother made hundreds beautiful quilts.
While pursuing one of her passions, family history, she and Derrel served as directors of the Edgemont Stake Family history Center for 17 years. Leila also helped train family history missionairies at the MTC.
She will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family, her sense of humor, and her service to others.
Leila is survived by her husband, Derrel and their children: Dennis (Carol) Judd, Marjalee (Rodger) Smith, Ralph (Patricia) Judd, Anne Judd, Keith (Christine) Judd, Mary (Jeff) Hill, 21 grandchildren and 14 great-grand children, as well as her brothers; Robert (Kathy) Lundquist and Kent (Karen) Lundquist. She also has many beloved nieces and nephews.
