The King City Chronicle (King City, MO), Friday, August 3, 1900; pg. 1
CHARLES RARDIN
Died, in Vernice (sic) county (sic), Nebraska, July 20, 1900, Mr. Charles Rardin, aged 27 years. Funeral services were held July 22, and the remains interred in a cemetery in Norton county (sic), Kansas, near the home of his wife's people.
Charles Rardin, son of C. L. Rardin of King City, was a native of Gentry county (sic), he having been born on the farm northwest of town, June 17, 1873. It was in and near King City that he grew to manhood. Several years since he was united in marriage to an estimable young lady and to them one child was born, but both the wife and mother and the little one passed to the beyond some years since. He was married the second time last December to a worthy young lady of Nebraska, but this union proved to be short indeed. In a few short months Charles was called to lay aside the cares of this world and enter into the one beyond. The kind regards and sympathy of many here is extended to the wife, the aged father and the brothers, sisters and relatives.
