Funeral services were held Tuesday at St. Peter's United Church of Christ for Mrs. Willard F. Diefenthaleer, 40, of Route 1, Elkhart Lake, who died at her home early Saturday morning. The Rev. John F. Baumann officiated at the service and burial was in Town of Schleswig Cemetery, Rockville.
Mrs. Diefenthaler was born Dorothy Jane Schulz, January 13, 1928 in Meeme, daughter of the late Arno and Martha Wessel Schulz. They later moved to Kiel where she was graduated from Kiel High School in 1946. She was married to Willard Diefenthaler of Kiel, October 22, 1949. They resided in the Town of Schleswig until three years ago when they moved to their present home in the Town of Rhine.
Survivors include her husband, three sons, John, James and Thomas, a daughter, Margie, all at home; three brothers, Carl of Kohler and Robert and Arno of Kiel; and two sisters, Mrs. Jack Piper of Waukegan, Illinois, and Miss Gertrude Schulz of Los Angeles, California and step-father, Herman Lukesh.
