Col. Breault was born on March 2, 1943 in Weymouth, Mass. He was a graduate of Melrose High School and the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
In 1995 Col. Breault retired from the United States Air Force after 30 years of distinguished service, including 183 air combat missions in the Vietnam War and command of the 318th Fighter Interceptor Squadron. Among the medals awarded him were: Legion of Merit, Defense Superior Service, Distinguished Flying Cross with 1 oak leaf cluster, Purple Heart, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with 2 oak leaf clusters and the Air Medal with 13 oak leaf clusters. Since retiring from active duty, Col. Breault had been training USAF fighter pilots in crew resource management around the world. He was a longtime member of Liberty Baptist Church.
Col. Breault was preceded into Glory by his beloved wife, Sheila.
