Audra Gilkey Griggs married Seth Eaton Griggs Sr. 25 September 1920. They had one son Seth Eaton Griggs Jr. aka Ed. Ed was killed in the ocean off of North Africa during WWII. The first ship he was on was torpedoed and he was reported dead, however, he survived. He was placed on another ship and that ship was torpedoed and he died, missing in action. Audra had a very hard time dealing with the death of her only child. She eventually ended up in the Western State Hospital, Fort Steilacoom, Pierce Co., Washington and she died there.

Audra's son Seth, died in the Mediterranean Sea, North Africa and Seth's name is on a plaque in The Garden of Remembrance, located at Benaroyal Hall on 2nd Avenue between Union and University Streets.

I do not know where Audra Gilkey's husband, Seth E Griggs Senior, was between 1924 and 1936. He remarried in Lewiston, Nez Perce, Idaho in June, 1936.

Audra Gilkey was living with William H. Brown and her son, Seth junior, in 1930 in Kellogg, Shoshone, Idaho. Audra and Seth were divorced, by 1929. I located her in some old Seattle directories under the name of Griggs, so don't know if she was really married to William H. Brown.
