Mrs. Sarah E. Shumaker Dies At Home Here
Victim of Heart Ailment; Funeral to Be Today
---Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Shumaker, 68 years old, a resident of Kirksville for twenty-five years, died at her home here Friday night at 9:30 o'clock from heart disease.
---The funeral is to be held this afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Davis Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Ralph M. G. Smith, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Shumaker Cemetery in the Illinois Bend vicinity. The body is lying in state at the funeral home.
---Mrs. Shumaker was born May 14, 1870, a daughter of R. L. and Catherine Allen, in the Illinois Bend vicinity. She was married to Finley Shumaker and three children were born.
---Surviving her are: One son, Pearl Shumaker, of North of Kirksville; three brothers, William Allen, La Plata; Henry Allen, Kendrick, Colo.; Ben Allen, Moberly; three sisters, Lucy Roberts, Hazelton, Kan.; Mrs. W. D. Musick, La Plata; Mrs. Lon Shumaker, Novelty; and eight grandchildren.
