Courtland, Ala. April 14th. Mr. M. J. Gilchrist, Sr., who has been quite ill for several days past, died at the home of his son, J. H. Gilchrist this morning. Mr. Gilchrist was one of the oldest and most influential citizens of this section. He was about 78 years of age. A good man and a Prince in Israel has fallen.
