Benjamin enlisted into Confederate military service on 22 JUL 1861 at Luray in the 97th Va. Militia, Co. I.
He laster enlisted in the 33rd Va. Infantry, Co. H.
Mr. Benjamin Price died Feb. 20th, 1906, at his home one and one-half miles north west of Stanley, aged 75 years, 5 months, and 5 days. His death was very sudden as he died while sitting in his chair. He was a quiet and peaceable citizen, respected by all. His beloved wife preceded him to the spirit world last August. His children and grandchildren are left to mourn his departure but should emulate his example. His remains were laid to rest in the Adventist cemetery- Elder Brown officiating. ~ Page Courier, Thursday 15 Mar 1906
