Samuel Robinson, s. of Dorchester, Mass. immigrants William Robinson and his 1st wife Margaret Beech, bapt. June 14, 1640 at Dorchester, Mass. He d. of record at Dorchester Sept. 16, 1718.

On Nov. 19, 1664 of record at Dorchester, Samuel m. Mary Baker, dau. of Richard Baker and Faith Withington, b. of record Apr. 27, 1643 at Dorchester. Mary d. of record at Dorchester May 9, 1715. They had the following three known children b. at Dorchester:

• i. Samuel Robinson, Jr., b. June 13, 1666, d. Mar. 30, 1734 at Dorchester, Mass (g.s.); m. Mar. 13, 1705/6 at Dorchester, Mary Wiswall, dau. of Enoch Wiswall and Elizabeth Oliver, b. of record Aug. 27, 1677 at Dorchester. She d. of record at Dorchester on her 37th birthday Aug. 27, 1714. Three known children of the family. Samuel m. 2) Dec. 11. 1723 at Dorchester, Dorcas Carver, by whom he had no recorded children. She d. at Dorchester Nov. 27, 1746.

• ii. Mary Robinson, b. Aug. 11, 1668, d. of record at Milton, Mass. Feb. 16, 1702/3; m. Jan. 17, 1686/7 at Milton (by Rev. Peter Thacher) as his 1st wife, Jonathan Gulliver, s. of Anthony Gulliver and Lydia Kingsley, b. of record Aug. 24, 1659 at Dorchester. Three children of the family b. at Milton, Mass. Jonathan m. 2) of record Mar. 23, 1703/4 at Milton (by Rev. Peter Thacher, his to-be father-in-law), Theodora Thacher, eldest child of Rev. Peter Thacher and Theodora Oxenbridge, b. of record Nov. 1, 1678 at Dorchester, Mass. She d. at Milton Dec. 7, 1732 and Jonathan at Milton July 3, 1737, in the 78th year of his age. They had three children of the marriage.

• iii. Rev. John Robinson, b. circa Mar. 1671/72, but whose birth does not appear in the Dorchester record, d. Nov. 14, 1745 at Lebanon, Conn.; m. Jan. 31, 1705/6 at Duxbury, Mass., Hannah Wiswall, dau. of Rev. Ichabod Wiswall and Priscilla Pabodie (q.v. Peabody), b. Feb. 22, 1681/2 at Duxbury, Mass. She d. by drowning at sea Sept. 22, 1722 between Duxbury and Boston. Eight children of the family.

Jonathan m. 2) of record Mar. 23, 1703/4 at Milton (by Rev. Peter Thacher, his to-be father-in-law), Theodora Thacher, eldest child of Rev. Peter Thacher and Theodora Oxenbridge, b. of record Nov. 1, 1678 at Dorchester, Mass. She d. at Milton Dec. 7, 1732 and Jonathan at Milton July 3, 1737, in the 78th year of his age. They had three children of the marriage.

• iii. Rev. John Robinson, b. circa Mar. 1671/72, but whose birth does not appear in the Dorchester record, d. Nov. 14, 1745 at Lebanon, Conn.; m.
