Construction foreman for Brooks Construction Company. Passed due to a tragic road paving accident ~ power from overhead power lines arced through the upraised bed of the asphalt truck he was feeding the paver with. Amongst his hobbies were golfing, bowling and classic cars.
Survived by his wife Lorraine, son Robert L. II, daughter Casey Lynn, Mother Juanita J., Fort Wayne, brothers Michael R. of Lantana, Florida; John C. (Sue) of Loxahatchee, Florida; Steven A. (Krista) of Fort Wayne; Gregory (Linda) of Wolcottville and a number of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father Robert L. Bunn and paternal grandparents Clarence H. and Dorothy M. Bunn.

ROBERT P. BUNN, 44, of Fort Wayne, currently of Wolcottville, died Friday, June 10, 2005, at St. Joe Hospital. Born Dec. 12, 1960, in Fort Wayne, he was a foreman for Brooks Construction Co., Inc., and former owner of Bunn Asphalt. He was affiliated with Pathway Community Church. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved to bowl. "He was devoted to his family and was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend who will be greatly missed, but not forgotten." Survived by wife, Lorraine Bunn of Wolcottville; mother, Juanita J. Bunn of Fort Wayne; son, Robert L. Bunn II of Wolcottville; daughter, Casey Lynn Bunn of Wolcottville; brothers, Michael R. Bunn of Lantana, Fla., John C. (Sue) Bunn of Loxahatchee, Fla., Steven A. (Kristina) Bunn of Fort Wayne and Gregory L. (Linda) Bunn of Wolcottville; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Bunn. Service is 11 a.m. Wednesday at Blackhawk Ministries Church, 7400 E. State Blvd., with calling one hour prior to service. Calling is also from 12 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Elzey -Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Burial at Huntertown Cemetery. Memorials to Beyond the Walls Campaign, at Pathway Community Church or St. Joseph Hospital Burn Unit.
