North - Mrs. Lurlene S. Rouse, 86, of North, died Sunday, September 18, 2005. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, at Fellowship Baptist Church, with the Rev. Don Smoak and the Rev. William Courtney officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. The casket will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Pallbearers will be her nephews.
Mrs. Rouse was born in Neeses, a daughter of the late Lewis David and Jessie Belle Rutland Sturkie. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. She was retired from Stone Manufacturing Company. She was married to the late Daniel D. Jones and the late Benjamin Rouse.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby G. and Elizabeth Jones, of Leesville; two sisters, Corina Addison, of North and Betty McNeal, of Allendale; grandson, Monte Jones; stepgranddaughter, Jessica Fuller; and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home and at other times, at the home of Mrs. John Addison, 318 Addison Road, North. Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
