MRS. GEMBERLING'S RITES

WESTVILLE -- Mrs. Lillian (George) Gemberling, 68, died at 8 a.m. Monday at Holy Family hospital in LaPorte after a long illness. Mrs. Gemberling had been a resident of Westville, where she lived with her husband, who survives.

She was born in Porter county Nov. 16, 1892, the daughter of Willis and Minnie (Michael) Warnock. She was married to George Gemberling Sept. 5, 1911, in St. Joseph, Mich.

She was a member of the American Legion auxiliary and the Christian church of Westville.

Surviving besides the husband are three sons, Wesley of Westville, Russell of McKeesport, Pa., and Phillip of Kingsbury; a daughter, Mrs. Ada Sims of LaPorte; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Emily Kimball of Westville; and two brothers, Emil of LaPorte, and Lowell of East Gary.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Gertrude.

American Legion auxiliary services will be held at 7:30 this evening in the Weaver Funeral home, Westville, and funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Elwood Anderson, pastor of the First Methodist church, Westville, officiating. Burial will be in Pinhook cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home until time of the services Thursday.
