John Henry Dawson Lived Here for 25 Years
John Henry Dawson, 86 years old, pioneer Oklahoma City resident, died Sunday morning at his home, 304 E. 11th street, following a short illness.
Funeral services will be held at 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Marshall & Harper funeral home. Burial will be in Rosehill burial park.
Dawson had been a resident of Oklahoma City for 25 years. He was a veteran of the Civil war and a member of the G.A.R. which he served post commander of Grant Post No.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Miss Floy Dawson, Central highschool teacher, and Mrs. Don F. Kerr, Terre Haute, Ind.; one foster granddaughter, Mrs. Kerr Van Leuven, Oklahoma City; two sisters, Mrs. C.T. Reynolds, Tiff, Iowa, and Mrs. Jane Kelley, Newton, Kan., and one brother, Taylor Dawson, Pasadena, Calif.

He is a veteran of the Civil war, member of the G.A.R. and past commander of Grant Post No. 1 and also a member of the First Christian church. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Miss Floy Dawson, a teacher in Central highschool, Mrs. Don F. Kerr of Terre Haute, Ind., one foster granddaughter, Mrs. Kermit Van Leuven of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Mrs. C.T. Reynolds, Tiffin, Iowa, and Mrs. Jane Kelley, Newton, Kan.; and one brother, T__or Dawson of Pasadena, Calif. Funeral services will be announced later by Marshall & Harper funeral home.
