"Lucy, the second daughter of the second marriage [of Thomas Davis and Elizabeth Jane Hicks], born November 26, 1855, married Levi C., son of Wesley Parker, and died December 9, 1888. She was the mother of eight children, all yet living: John is merchant and postmaster at Stickney; Martha, widow of Walter Hayes; and Harriett, widow of John Trogdon, live on Coyle Creek; Charles lives on Spring Creek in Phelps County; Rachel, wife of Raleigh Holt, in St. Louis; Joseph Parker and Ellen, wife of Frank Owens, in or near Grove, Oklahoma; and Lola, wife of Clay Hawkins, near Hughes Chapel."

Lucy bore eight children, all born healthy and who would live to have long, productive lives. But just like so many women of her time, Lucy did not live to see that. She died of pneumonia at the age of 33, when her eighth child was just a few months old. She would have been proud though to see how they all turned out. Their lives were a fine tribute to Lucy and Levi Parker.
