Willie Lynwood Perdue, age 73, died July 5, 1994 in Salt Lake City.

Born April 7, 1921, son of Norman Edward and Minnie Ella Mahalia Griffith Perdue. Married Nora Redd March 10, 1945 in Colonia Juarez, Mexico; later solemnized in Mesa Arizona LDS Temple. Member of the LDS Church, served a stake mission in Ontario, California. Veteran of World War II, Pearl Harbor survivor stationed at Hickman Field.

Worked at Dan's Food after his retirement. Well loved by all who knew him, he had a great sense of humor.

Survived by sons, Jerry Lynwood (Jayna Vyrlene) Perdue, Santa Maria, Calif.; Norman Redd (Ruthann) Perdue, Murray; grandchildren, Diane, Michael, Devin, Kendra, Sharri, Paula, Bonnie, Lynnie, "We love you Grandpa." Brother, Robert Perdue; sisters, Viola Lamb; Pauline Prather. also a very loving friend, Margie Thomas. preceded in death by wife; parents; brothers, Edward and Clyde.

Funeral services will be held Monday, 12 noon, at Hewwood Ward, 5643 South 2200 West. Friends may call Sunday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Monday, 11-11:45 at the church. Interment, Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
