Dolores Flores, age 82 of Clovis, NM died Saturday, February 27, 2010, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis. Rosary and Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens. Faustine Sena, Bobby Sena, Johnny Chavez, Christopher Maynes, Keith Stoddard, Eric Kirby, Jim Brassell, and Eulalio Maynes will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Allen Bailey, Forrest Cole, Larry Sena, Dustin Vertress, Melissa Maynes, Elizabeth Kirby, Elizabeth Kiser, Dr. Stalker, and Deacon Daniel Chavez.
Dolores was born April 8, 1927, in Borica Springs, NM to Tomas and Efenia Garcia Sena. She married Cipriano Flores on January 3, 1959, in Santa Rosa, NM and they came to Clovis in 1972. She worked as a cosmetologist. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She was very involved in church, serving as an Eucharistic minister, singing in the choir, and helped clean the church. She also visited the home bound and nursing homes. Dolores was very dedicated to God and her church.
Dolores is survived by a daughter, Bernice (Chuck) Maynes of Clovis, NM; two sons, Joseph Flores and Jude Flores both of Clovis, NM; three sisters, Lugarda Zamora of Clovis, NM, Sally Chavez of Santa Rosa, NM and Mary (Ernesto) Sanchez of Albuquerque, NM; two brothers, Al Sena and Gabe Sena both of Albuquerque, NM and three grandchildren, Chris Maynes, Elizabeth Kirby and Melissa Maynes. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tomas and Efenia; husband, Cipriano; two brothers, Trinidad Sena and Pete Sena; sister, Theresa Sena and son, John Flores.
