Margaret Erma Brinton Bench, of Fairview, died February 25, 2010 in Mount Pleasant.


Born June 26, 1917 in Mount Pleasant to Wollerton Huffaker and Jane Hamilton Brinton.


Married George Worth Bench Sr. on December 20, 1941 in the Manti LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on February 20, 1986.


Margaret graduated from North Sanpete High School, Snow College, and Utah State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics, later received certificates from BYU in Instructional Media and Elementary Education.


She taught in the Fairview Elementary School and North Sanpete High School. She was a faithful member of the LDS Church. She and Worth served in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin LDS Mission and as ordinance workers at the Manti and Provo Temples.


Survived by children, Erma Lee Hansen (Ramon) Aaron, Fairview, UT; John L (Shirley) Bench, Sandy, UT; George W. (Peggy) Bench, Fairview, UT; Steven R. (Karla) Bench, Moroni, UT; Ralph B. (Lynda) Bench, Fairview, UT; Bryant L. (Cathy) Bench, Boise, ID; JoAnn (Kevin) Turpin, Fairview, UT; forty-one grandchildren; sixty-four great-grandchildren; fourteen great-great-grandchildren; brother, Reed Brinton, Salt Lake City; sister, Jane Cox, Bountiful. Preceded in death by parents, sister and brother-in-law, Beth, (Royal N.) Allred, brother-in-law, Edward D. Cox, sister-in-law, Helena Brinton, son-in-law Allan F. Hansen, grandchildren, Dixie A. Bench, and John Douglas Bench.


Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fairview First Ward Chapel, 122 South State Street. A viewing will be held on Monday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Rasmussen Mortuary, Mount Pleasant, UT (96 North 100 West) and Tuesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Church prior to the services.
Interment will be in the Fairview City Cemetery.
