He was born on Dec. 6, 1919, in Page County and was a son of the late Charles A. and Fellie Grimsley Cave.
Mr. Cave retired from Norfolk and Western Railway and was a lifetime member of the Shenandoah Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was recognized as the oldest member of the
Shenandoah VFW Post 8613.
On Sept. 18, 1948, he married Ethel Hilliard, who survives.
He is also survived by two sons, Bobby and Buddy Cave, both of Stanley; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was conduced on Friday, Sept. 29, at the Shenandoah Pentecostal Holiness Church by Pastor Mike Reynolds.
Burial was in the Leake's Chapel Cemetery
