---Ralph A. Childs Funeral Thursday---
Ralph A. Childs, 74, Henry farmer, died Monday evening at a Scottsbluff hospital. He suffered a heart attack Sunday. Funeral services took place Thursday afternoon at the Fisher mortuary in Mitchell, Rev. Ralph Myers of the Nazarene church at Chadron in charge. Burial was in Forest Lawn cemetery.
Mr. Childs was the father of Donald Childs, instrumental music supervisor in the Gering schools. Born at New London, Ohio, Aug. 12, 1876, he came to Shelton, Nebr., as a boy. He was married there to Rosa Cox. They homesteaded a mile and one-half east of Henry in 1909 and had since made their home there. Mr. Childs was a charter member of the Henry Methodist church.
Surviving are his widow; four daughters,:
Mrs. Nellie Myers of Chadron,
Mrs. Majel Myers of Harpster, Ohio,
Mrs. Belva Foland of Henry and
Mrs. Maurine Forbes of Lyman;
three sons,:
Donald of Gering,
Jennings of Henry and
Arlie of Henry;
13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. ###
