Roger Mitchell Adams, 62, of Lenoir, NC, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2009.
Born in Sedro-Woolley, Washington, he was the son of the late Oscar Abraham Adams and Irene Rogers Adams. He was a former member of Ellijay Missionary Baptist Church. Roger loved the outdoors and enjoyed making crafts.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years Nancy Weaver Adams; five children, Tammy Causby of Gilbert, SC, Becky Talley, Allen Adams and Tonya Adams all of Franklin and David Adams of Lenoir, NC; two sisters, Sandy Woods of Franklin and Shirley Young of Five Points, AL; eight grandchildren; and one niece Rhonda Mitchell.
Funeral Service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 13, at Ellijay Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Billy Sellers will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
