GLOVER ALLISON GILBERT GLOVER Brig. Gen., USAF (Ret.) Departed this life on January 15, 2010. He was born June 11, 1930, the son of Nina Kingston and Willis Hiram Glover in Rochester, NY. He was raised in Falls Church, VA and received degrees from Virginia Tech and the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana. He served in the Air Force, Engineering and Services, for 30 years, including duty in both the Korean and Vietnam wars. After retirement from the Air Force in 1981, he worked as a defense contractor in the Northern Virginia area, then moved to Yorktown, VA in 1991 and later, Williamsburg, VA. Al is survived by his wife of 53 years, Virginia Broaddus Glover; his children, Marilyn Glover and husband, Charles Evan Becker, Elisabeth Glover and husband, Frank Howard Hudgins and Allison Gilbert Glover, Jr. and wife, Carol Alene Glover; his grandchildren, Carl and Chris Becker, Tyler and Ginx Hudgins, Emma and William Glover; his brother, Donald Ellsworth Glover and wife, Alice Knight Glover of Fredericksburg, VA; and his sister, Marilyn Kay Glover of Falls Church. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery on Monday, March 1, 2010 at 11 a.m.
