The Wellington Leader April 11, 1974

A resident of the area for more than 60 years, Mrs. Annie Estelle Reeves died Tuesday night, March 26, in Collingsworth General Hospital after a long illness. She was 91 years of age. Much of her life before moving into Wellington was spent in the section along the Texas-Oklahoma State Line. She was born April 24, 1883, in Houston County near Crockett. She came here with her parents, the late Jasper L. and Ada B. Riggsdale Bynum, in 1913. After living here a few years, the family moved to the Indian Territory, but after a few years, they returned to Collingsworth. She was married to T.D.
Reeves January 20,1900, at Crockett. He preceded her in death several years ago. Mrs. Reeves was a member of the Assembly of God.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Ina Tatum of Wellington and Mrs. Edna Van Matre of Greeley, Colorado; two sons, Cecil Reeves of Odessa and Leo Reeves of Wellington; two brothers, Addie Bynum and Ezra Bynum of Livingston, Calif.; 17 grandchildren, 41 great- grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
