Olin W. Brown

Olin W. Brown, 90, of Toledo, Ore., died Feb. 16, 2010 in Corvallis.

He was born Jan. 9, 1920 to John and Edna Brown in Leeton, Mo. He graduated from Gervais High School in 1939.

On Sept. 27, 1942, he married Betty Phillips. He worked at the Lincoln Dairy for 30 years and was the co-owner of the dairy for five years. He was a member of the Toledo Elks, was an avid rock hound and loved to go fishing and camping with his family. He coached Little League and Babe Ruth baseball for the Lincoln Dairy teams.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Betty Brown.

He is survived by his sons, Rodney Brown of Monroe, and Roger Brown of Portland; his brothers, Orville Brown of Portland and Lloyd Brown of Longview, Wash.; granddaughters, Tracy Andrews of Eugene and Shawn Brown of Monroe.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26, at the Eureka Cemetery, 917 NE Yaquina Heights Dr. in Newport.

Bateman Funeral Home in Newport is handling arrangements.
