LAUREL - Graveside services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Gardens for Clarence Dillard Bond, 86, of Laurel, who died Feb. 22, 2010, at Collins Veterans Home.
Mr. Bond was retired from AT&T and was a member of First Baptist Church in Laurel. He served as an Army medic during World War II and was awarded the Silver Start, Bronze Star and two Purple Heart medals.
Survivors include two daughters, Anne Giles of Hattiesburg, and Dr. Janie Butts of Ellisville; a brother, Louie Bond of Laurel; a sister, Frances Elise Savage of Laurel; and three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Bryant Bond; and his parents, Dallas Taylor and Addie Campbell Bond.
