He was married in Prescott, Hampshire, Massachusetts, USA, on 27 April 1918 to Emma Gertrude Stone, a descendant of Simon Stone, who was written of in J. Gardner Bartlett's Simon Stone Genealogy, c. 1926, p. 598, and Leon's lineage to Nicolas Stone was cited. They had one daughter together who was in a nursing home in western Massachusetts, United States, in 2011. An obituary in The history of Prescott, Massachusetts, p.278, linked Leon to surviving family members. Leon was buried in Mountain View Cemetery with his parents but his name was not engraved on the stone at the time.
