Son of Samuel Abbe & Temperance Lincoln/Linkon. Moved to Otsego County, NY, in about 1794 with his parents. Eventually re-settled in Eaton. Married Mary Blanchard, who pre-deceased him by 10 days & is also buried in Butternut Ridge. Had many children, at least one of whom, Lemuel (named after one of his brothers), is buried in Butternut Ridge. In the 1850's, his sister, Lucy Abbe McFall Newman (who was the twin of the elder Lemuel), moved from Otsego County to Eaton after her second husband, Jonathan Newman, passed away.
