Martin Burt "Mart" Swearengin, 82, of Rt. 5, Box 269, Huntsville, Ark., died Aug. 25, 1991, at his home. He was born March 26, 1909, at Venus, Ark., the son of Joseph Alexander and Ida Florence Woodward Swearengin. He was a farmer. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Furr, on Nov. 21, 1990.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Daisy Russell Swearengin of the home; one son, John Paul Swearengin of Huntsville; one daughter, Mrs. Lydia Cleo Morales of Tucson, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Easterling officiating. Interment will be in Venus Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.

Pallbearer are Terry Gregory, David Coleman, Jackson Ward, Ernest Ward, Cody Bowman and Bob Gooding.
