PFAFFTOWN - Mrs. Audrey Mae Lineback Long, 81, of 4832 Vienna-Dozier Road died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She was born Oct. 1, 1923, in Forsyth County to Dewey Monroe and Lillian McKnight Lineback. Mrs. Long was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hugh "Hop" Long; and a brother, D.C. Lineback. Surviving are a daughter, Gail Long (William) Ratledge of the home; grandsons Patrick and Brenda Pike of Pfafftown and Micheal Pike of Lynchburg, Va.; a stepgranddaughter, Beverly (David) Caudle of Boonville; a stepgrandson, Tim and Patti Ratledge of Yadkinville; a great-granddaughter, Jessica Pike of Lynchburg, Va.; six stepgreat-grandchildren; five stepgreat-great-grandchildren; and two special friends, Lorene Murphy and Marty Perry, both of Pfafftown. A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, at the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Judy Davis officiating. The family will receive friends immediately after the graveside service at the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church fellowship hall. Huff Funeral Home in East Bend is serving the Long family.
