SLIGO — Arthur Leroy (Roy) Neil, 61, of Sligo, a retired bookkeeper for the Pennzoil Distributing Company of Sligo, died at 6:30 a.m. Sunday in the Brookville Hospital.

He was born in Allegheny County March 17, 1903, a son of James Jones and Anna Dorothy Betz Neil.

He was married December 23, 1936, to Avanelle McCanna, who survives.

Mr. Neil was a member of the Sligo Presbyterian Church. He also was a member of the IOOF Lodge in Sligo and Clarion Moose Lodge 101.

Surviving, in addition to his widow, are his father and two sisters, Grace and Ruth Neil, all living in Florida; two brothers, Walter R. Neil of Oil City and Paul D. Neil of Shippenville.

His mother and another sister, Martha Esther, are deceased.

Removal was Hawk Funeral made to the Home, Sligo, where friends are being received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with Rev. James W. Cummings III, pastor of the Sligo Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will be in Sligo.

Employes of the Pennzoil Distributing Company will serve as pallbearers for the funeral.
