Went to Arvada, Jefferson Co., CO to marry Elsie JEFFRYES in 1903. The new couple moved to Eastland Co., TX where W.B. STARR established the Highland Springs Farm in the Dan Horn Community between Scranton and Cisco, TX. Main crops were peanuts and sweet potatoes. The Starr Improved variety of the Spanish peanut is named for W.B. STARR.
Ran for U.S. Senate on the Socialist Party ticket in both 1934 and 19360.
