The death of Mrs. Ada Elizabeth Seekford, 80, of the Oak Hill community, occurred at 11 p.m., Sunday in a Staunton Hospital following an illness of several years. Mrs. Seekford was a daughter of the late Richard Lehew and Catherine Riley Lehew and was born on May 18, 1875, ay Liberty Furnace, Shenandoah County. She was a member of the Oak Hill Methodist Church. Her husband, Isaac N. Seekford, preceded her in death on May 16, 1947. Surviving are two children: Mrs. Ernest Shenk, of Annapolis, Md., and Darrell R. Seekford, of Rileyville. Also surviving are two step-children, Mrs. Frank Lehew, of Strasburg, and Everett Seekford, of Luray. She leaves nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, and three brothers: William Lehew and Frank Lehew, of Martinsburg, W.Va., and George M. Shenk, of Sharon, Pa. Two sisters and one brother are deceased. The body will remain at Bradley's Funeral Home until 1 p.m. today (Thursday). Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Howard Smith at the Oak Hill Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Burial will take place in Beahm's Chapel Cemetery.
