Aged Resident of Neighborhood Died Yesterday
Mrs. Indiana California Borcherding, aged 79, died at her home last night at 1:40 am after an illness of four or five years but she had been seriously ill since she was strickened with paralysis six weeks ago. Her home was located in the Kent neighborhood, six miles northwest of this city. Mrs. Borcherding was the daughter of Jacob and Christina Mouser and was born and spent all of her life in this county. She was a member of the Smyrna Presbyterian Church and leaves a wide circle of friends in addition to the following members of her family. Her children: Mrs. Mary Fewell, near Kent, Mrs. Carrie Runyen, of Pittsburg, In., Mrs. Bertha Lesetta Black, near Wirt, Jacob M Borcherding, at home, Mrs. Nellie Cravens, of Cincinnati, William Henry Borcherding and John C. Borcherding, of this county, and Mrs. Lydia Cravens, of Hanover, and Mrs. Luella Gable, of Hanover, Alonzo Mouser on the Hanover Road and three sisters, Mrs. George Metzger, Mrs. William Corrie, of Brownsburg, Lida Gaddy, of Indianapolis. Her husband, William Henry Borcherding, died fifteen years ago. Funeral services will be held from the Symrna Presbyterian Church at 1 pm tomorrow afternoon with burial in the church cemetery.
