John Coryell of Raisin, Lenawee County, was discharged on August 4, 1863, on a surgeon's certificate of disability from Co. F. of the 26th Michigan. He had enlisted at the age of 21 at Tecumseh in August of 1862 and served most of the time at Alexandria. He died in Michigan just a few months after his discharge on November 18, 1863. He is buried in the Ridgeway Twp Cemetery at Britton, Lenawee County, Michigan.
