Angela Marie Holmberg February 17, 1923 - February 14, 2010 Angela Holmberg peacefully passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2010, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Marguerite Chiado, and her brothers: Tom, John, and Paul. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Henry (Bud) Holmberg Sr.; her children: Kathy (Rick) Brooks, Carol, Teresa (Kent) Lynch, Patty (Dan) Bodelson, Hank, Stefanie (Chuck) Flowers, and Jean (David) Mullin; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Her sibling, Angela Marie Chiado, of the Order of the Sisters of Charity, resides in Mount St. Joseph, Ohio. Angela graduated from the Regina School of Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse until her marriage to Henry, after which she devoted her life to her family, church and community. Angie loved to dance. Most Saturday nights she and Bud could be found with their dear friends dancing at The Palace or El Nido until the wee hours of the morning. She was quite a fishing enthusiast, and enjoyed many weekends at Eagle Nest Lake or the Cimarron River. She showed no mercy at the poker table, and loved to bet the longshots at the track. She dearly loved all "her babies", and will be greatly missed by all. The family would like to thank her Hospice caregivers, Rachel and Debrot of Presbyterian Medical Services; and Glynnis, Laurie, Christine, Alviria, Margarita, Judy, and Jane of The Coming Home Connection for their unwavering devotion and tender care which made it possible for Angela to remain in her home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to The Coming Home Connection Inc., 418 Cerrillos Road #18, Santa Fe, NM 87501 Mass will be celebrated Friday, February 19, 2010 1 p.m. at Santa Maria de La Paz Catholic Church.
