Esley Nathaniel Rochester, 74, of 616 Autumn Harvest Lane, Kodak, Tenn., died Monday, July 4, 2005.

Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late William Esley and Callie Ballard Rochester.

Mr. Rochester retired from the Shriner's Hospital, and also worked as a self-employed homebuilder. He was a member of Durbin Creek Baptist Church in Fountain Inn.

Surviving are his wife, Frances Elouise White Rochester of the home; two daughters, Connie Smith of Greenville and Susan Pilkinton of Simpsonville; three sons, Ricky Rochester of Kodak, Tenn., and Paul and Randy Rochester, both of Greenville; a sister, Mildred Hackney of Georgia; two brothers, Carlos and Sherman Rochester, both of Greenville; 11 grandchildren, Alicia, Chris and Shane Smith, Carrie, Justin and Jennifer Pilkinton, Megan, Dalton, Olivia, and Austin Rochester, and Zack McKee; and a great-granddaughter, Skylar Smith.

Visitation will be held this evening from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.

Services will be held Thursday at noon at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, West.

Memorials may be made to Durbin Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 3724 Durbin Church Road, Fountain Inn, SC 29644.

The family is at 615 Hunts Bridge Road Lot #32.
