She was born on Aug. 3, 1923, in Rileyville and was a daughter of the late Hunter A. and Gracie Mae Phillips Heiston.
Mrs. Cameron was a member of the Page United Methodist Church.
On Jan. 24, 1953, she married Joseph William Cameron, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons, John W. Atkins and wife Carolyn Atkins and Robert L. Atkins, all of Luray; a granddaughter, Dixie Purdham and husband, Stacey Purdham of Stanley; a grandson, Eric Atkins and wife, Kimberly Atkins of Broadway; and two great grandchildren, Caleb and Jonah Purdham, both of Stanley.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul H. and Joseph T. Heiston.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p. m. on Friday, Oct. 7, at the Page United Methodist Church by Pastor Sarah Calvert.
