Born August 29, 1951 in Murray, Utah, daughter of Raymond Delos and Norma (Hulse) Smith. Married Ray E. Demke in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; later divorced. Active member of the LDS Church, Mountain View 10th Ward. Carla enjoyed working with troubled women as part of her job with the Third District Court. She loved being a Mom!

Survived by five children, Erik Brygn Demke and fiancee Shanna, Murray; Jayson John Demke, Shane Ray Demke, Nicole Kolleen Demke, Alicia Corrine Demke, all of West Jordan; father, Ray D. (Ivy) Smith, Bennion; brother, Gary Ray Smith, Salt Lake City; sisters, Karen S. (Ray) Knutson, Orem; Connie R. Walton, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by her infant daughter, Lisa Rachael Demke and her mother, Norma Hulse Smith.
Funeral services will be held Monday, 12 noon at the Mountain View 10th Ward, 8435 South 2700 West. Friends may call Sunday, 5-8 p.m. at McDougal West Jordan Mortuary, 1861 West 7800 South and Monday at the church, 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
