Mrs. Mary A. Curtis, who gives DOB about 14 Feb 1844, has a CSA pension application on line in the GA Archives Virtual Vault. She says she married Charles H. Curtis on 29 Jan 1863. He enlisted in May 1862 with Company A of the 13th GA regiment. At the Battle of Malvern Hill, VA, he was wounded in the Right arm, breaking the bones above and below the elbow. He was also wounded in the right lung, which frequently cause hemmoraging. After he was sent home to Pike County he was shot in the head by raiders. He died from those wounds on 3 Jan 1881.
