Mr. Aleshire was a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington and retired from General Electric as an electrical engineer. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of The Villages.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Jane H. Aleshire is a sister, Marine A. Modisett of Richmond.
A memorial service was conducted on Monday, Feb. 27, at the First Baptist Church of The Villages by Pastor Jerry Montgomery.
A memorial service will be held at the Wieuca Road Baptist Church at a later date.
