West Des Moines: Robert "Bob" Baker, 68, died Sunday, July 20, 2008. Bob was born on May 28, 1940 to Nadine and Clarence Baker in Iowa City, Iowa.
Bob loved all animals and children. He was a Horse Trainer by trade and in the horse community all of his life.
Bob is survived by his wife of 40 years, Janet of West Des Moines; daughters, Jackie (Henry) Hern of Harrison, AR and Rae Ann (Thomas) Doerring of Des Moines; sons, Robert Wesley Baker of West Des Moines and Dennis A Baker of West Des Moines; step-daughters, Rebecca (Lonnie Joe) Eddings and Renee Hafner of St. Joe, AR; step-son, John "Bo" Hafner of West Des Moines; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Virginia Berry and Connie Sue Carder.
