Elizabeth Cullers, b. abt. 1837 — dr. of Daniel and Mary Cullers, married: 1. Jonas Funk, 2. Cornelius Richard — no children -
Woodstock Va., Birth Records, p. 56 shows the birth of a male Cullers (Apr. 1859) born to Elizabeth Cullers—— information given by grandfather of the baby, Daniel Cullers. Father’s name is omitted from the record. Census record 1860 shows Elizabeth living at home with father. Also named Robert, 1 year of age.
Elizabeth and Jonas Funk had at least two children:
a. Joseph C. Funk
b. William Funk -
Elizabeth lived near home at first but then moved to Missouri where her husband died of “chills and fever”. She then returned with her two sons, Joseph and William Funk and lived in the house at the old brick church in Powell’s Fort. She later married Cornelius Richard and moved to Warren County, selling her place in the Fort to Harvey Hoffman.
