Dana Nordstrom, 80, of Hot Springs Village died May 23, 2007 at his residence. He was born on June 30, 1926 in Oslo, MN to the late Anshelm Sam Nordstrom and Ida Dahlen Nordstrom. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and received the Army of Occupation Medal, Japan and the World War II Victory Medal. He was a retired electrician who enjoyed woodworking and had been a Village resident since 2000. Mr. Nordstrom married the late Gladys Rose Schiminsky Nordstrom in 1952. A niece Judith Schiminsky also preceded him in death. Survivors include a brother: Lloyd Nordstrom of WA; two nieces: Marilyn Kunze and husband Kenneth of Brainerd, MN and Kathleen Galway and husband Robert of Des Plaines, IL; a great-niece: Vanessa Ross of Apple Valley, MN; and Great-great-nieces: Kyrie & Hannah Ross also of Apple Valley, MN a sister-in-law: Louise Schiminsky of New Hope, MN. Interment will be held at a later date at the AR State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, AR. Cremation arrangements are by Caruth Village Funeral Home, Hot Springs Village, AR.
