Jacob Haemmerle, Jr. was born on the 13th of September 1868, in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. Jacob was the son of Jacob Friederick Haemmerle, and his wife Josephine (nee Klinger) Haemmerle, natives of Germany.

Jacob was the fourth child born to Jacob and Josephine. His brother Frederick, was born eight years earlier, followed by the birth of his sister, Rose Haemmerle, in 1864. Jacob's sister Anna was born in 1865, and younger brothers, August Bernard, in 1871; and Adolph in 1873.

The family resided on North Sixteenth Street, in St. Louis, in November of 1880. Jacob was 12 years old and attended school.

Sadly, Jacob's youngest brother, Adolph, died on June 25th of 1888, at the age of 15, and was buried at Calvary Cemetery, in St. Louis, Missouri.

Jacob Haemmerle, Jr. married Elizabeth Ott, who had been born in Germany, on the 15th of December 1868.

In the years that followed, Jacob and Elizabeth would become parents of five children: Edmond J., born July 28, 1895; Leon, born O9 January 1897; Alphonse, born about 1899; Paul, born 07 Sep 1900; and Jacob Haemmerle, III, born about 1905.

The Haemmerle's son, Paul died at the age of 22 years, on the 22nd of September 1922. At the time of his death, Paul resided with his parents, and worked as a Pharmacist at a retail drug store, in St. Louis. He was buried at Calvary Cemetery on the 26th of September 1922.

Jacob Haemmerle, Jr. died on December 20, 1944, at age 76, and was laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri. His wife Elizabeth, die two years later, on the 20th of November 1946, and was buried on the 23 of November 1946, next to her beloved husband Jacob.
