The Herald, Piedmont, West Virginia, 5 Sept 1978: "Mass of the Christian Burial was held this morning at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Westernport, for Patrick Owen McGreevy, 85, Cumberland, who died Friday in the Lions Manor Nursing Home. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Born in Barton, he was a son of the late Thomas and Nancy (Arnold) McGreevy. His wife, Mrs. Agnes (Byrne) McGreevy, preceded him in death. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Cumberland, Council 586 K of C, Barber's Union Local 314 and Journeymen Barbers International Union of America. He is survived by four sons, Eugene J. McGreevy, Edward J. McGreevy, and Robert McGreevy, all of Cumberland and Patrick K. McGreevy, Henryton, Md.; three daughters, Mrs. Margaret Haywood, Westernport, Mrs. Agnes Kienhofer, Pinto and Mrs. Nancy Bankard, Westminster; a brother, Bernard V. McGreevy, Cumberland, a sister, Mrs. Ethel McMurrer, Las Vegas, Nev.; 21 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren."
