Evening Times, Cumberland, Maryland, Friday 2 July 1971: "Local Woman Dies in Chapel-Mrs. Lillian (McGreevy) Sell, of 305 Mountain View Drive, died at 10:10 a.m. in the Boal Funeral Chapel, Barton, while preparing to attend the funeral of Miss Catherine Arnold of Barton in St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, Barton. She was the widow of Norman E. Sell, Jr., former local brick company operator."

She was stricken while attending a funeral in Barton. A native of Barton, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Nancy McGreevy, and was the widow of Norman E. Sell, Sr. Mrs. Sell was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Third Order of St. Francis, Christian Mothers and Sacred Heart Hospital Auxiliary. Surviving are a son, Norman E. Sell, Jr., city; two brothers, Bernard V. and Patrick O. McGreevy, city; a sister, Mrs. Ethyl McNurrer (sic-McMurrer) Rutherford, New Jersey; and three grandchildren. The body is at the Stein Funeral Home where friends will be received from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. The rosary will be recited there tomorrow at 8 p.m. Requiem mass will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery."
